Brand Identity, Packaging & Graphic Design
Menteath is a family-run Sussex brand founded around the kitchen table in 2020, specialising in sensory, botanical body and face oils. Built on the principles of quality, care, conservation and community, the brand connects deeply to the local landscape—donating to Sussex woodland with every gift box purchased.
REAFE Studio was appointed to design Menteath’s full visual identity, encompassing branding, graphic design and packaging. Our approach was to create a modern yet grounded aesthetic that reflects the purity and integrity of the product, while communicating the brand’s connection to nature and its commitment to giving back.
The visual identity balances simplicity with softness. Crafted typography, a restrained palette and tactile material choices create a sense of calm confidence within the beauty-wellness sector. The identity is anchored by a beautiful hand-drawn illustration by our studio partner, illustrator Olivia Bullock—an expressive element that adds depth, character and a distinctly human touch to the brand.
Packaging was designed to feel authentic and intentional, echoing the natural qualities of the oils while offering a premium, giftable experience. Each component was considered through the lens of sustainability and care, aligning with Menteath’s values and the brand’s ongoing support of local woodland conservation.
Within the beauty-wellness sector, Menteath’s identity stands apart: refined, quietly confident and deeply rooted in place. The result is a brand world that honours the simplicity of the product, celebrates the landscape that inspired it, and feels unmistakably true to Menteath’s spirit.
