A study in light and materiality
For this concept study with De Beers, we explored how light, materiality and sculptural form can elevate the in-store jewellery experience. Our aim was simple: to design display pieces that feel calm, luxurious and quietly confident—allowing each diamond to shine with absolute clarity.
We looked closely at how light behaves across different surfaces, taking inspiration from Fresnel lenses, mirrored objects and natural textures. This helped us develop a palette of refined metals, velvets and timbers that feels both modern and timeless. Every detail—from a single display pad to a mirrored back panel—was designed with the same high level of precision and care.
This concept stage sets the foundation for a fully considered display system that blends craftsmanship, contemporary design and the high presentation standards associated with De Beers. It’s an exciting first step in imagining a more immersive and beautifully refined jewellery environment.
Craft, Landscape & Ambition
At Hawthbush Farm, Gun Brewery’s expansion represents more than growth — it’s a study in how architecture, craft and landscape can come together to create experience. Designed by REAFE STUDIO, the new facility blends production, hospitality and place with quiet precision.
Beyond Architecture
REAFE STUDIO is more than an architectural practice. With over 25 years’ experience across retail design, graphic design, furniture and product design, our work is shaped by a multidisciplinary approach that brings clarity, craft and intelligence to every project. From heritage homes in Lewes to rural remodels, and from bespoke interiors to recent retail environments at Battersea Power Station, our design thinking is enriched by decades of creating spaces, objects and brand experiences. This combined expertise allows us to design holistically—where architecture, interiors and identity work together to create thoughtful, refined and enduring places.
Craft, Clarity & Conscious Design
REAFE STUDIO worked with Medeau to redefine the visual and physical language of modern perfumery — from phthalate-free fragrance to sculptural product design. The result is an elegant expression of clean beauty and contemporary craft.
Destination Menswear
A quietly confident redesign of John Lewis & Partners’ Destination Menswear, bringing clarity, material calm and a renewed sense of purpose to a complex retail environment. REAFE STUDIO led the full spatial and retail design response, creating a system that elevates product, guides movement and endures commercial change.
Modernism, Materiality & Memory
Influenced by the modernist clarity of Jean Prouvé, REAFE STUDIO designed a refined interior and exterior scheme for SOHO Laser Clinic — combining a disciplined green palette, bespoke detailing and a neon gesture to the area’s vivid past. The project forms part of Premier Laser’s broader design strategy, established through the Brand Style Guide we developed for their forthcoming London and Kingston clinics.
